Life Enrichment Features
Resident Association
All residents of Oxford become a part of the Resident Association when they move into our community. The association is responsible for a variety of committees in our community, from managing our Library to helping schedule Trips & Entertainment. Additionally, there is a small group of residents who make up the Resident Association Board. Board members are nominated and voted in on an annual basis. The members of the board assist with keeping lines of communication open with Oxford Leadership and help to fundraise for the many programs and committees that are resident-run throughout the community.
Trips & Entertainment
Our Trips and Entertainment Committee comprises residents passionate about having interesting and engaging programs in the community. The committee meets with our Life Enrichment director monthly to provide ideas and help schedule the variety of off-site trips and on-site entertainment available to residents. Whether it’s a visit to a museum or an evening of music, this committee has it covered!
Continue to Learn
Our “Continue to Learn” programs provide residents with ongoing educational experiences that are stimulating, enriching, and help bring the larger community into Oxford residents. Programs selected by the resident committee are varied to give attendees broad, interesting, and enjoyable classes with professional teachers and entertainers such as Alisa Dupuy, who performed as Marie Antoinette!
Clubs & Groups
Mahjong
One of the many activities Oxford residents enjoy daily is the game of Mahjong. Developed in China in the mid-1800s, this popular game encourages our residents to gather together and engage in friendly competition. Whether playing for small bets or just for fun, you will be sure to see mahjong players throughout the halls of Oxford!
Fine Arts Club
Led by a professional art teacher, this class meets weekly for residents to learn, practice, and hone their art skills. This class is perfect both for new artists and for those who are seasoned hobbyists. Each resident is able to work on their own piece with guidance and support from the instructor. Once finished, residents are invited to showcase their artwork in our craft room.
Drama Club
If you love to be in the spotlight, then our Drama Club is the group for you! This group meets weekly throughout the year to prepare and rehearse for their shows in January and July each year. Led by a professional instructor, the Drama Group prepares skits and songs to perform for the entire community.
