We are excited to announce Marisa Romanini has joined Oxford as the new executive director. With this position, Romanini is returning to the world of independent living after two years of leading a personal care facility in Newtown. Her experience includes working in a variety of senior settings, in addition to independent living and personal care, including skilled nursing and memory care.
Romanini is coming in at a critical time — Oxford Independent Living, part of the Oxford Enhanced Senior Living continuing care retirement campus, is in the midst of a multi-million-dollar renovation following a recent rebranding.
“Oxford Independent Living is so thriving and vibrant,” Romanini said. “Residents take pride in ownership of their community and are always looking for ways to improve their environment, not just for themselves but for the entire population. They are very active and engaged.”
“We have great energy here, and my hope is to help residents bring all of their ideas to life,” she said. “This is their community, their home. Along with my team, I am looking forward to supporting their efforts to continue to make the community they want for themselves.”
A licensed personal care home administrator, Romanini holds a bachelor’s degree in music therapy from Duquesne University and a master’s degree in long-term care administration from Saint Joseph’s University. Romanini, who lives with her husband and two dogs, enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling and baking.
